  1. Brilliant, thanks for sharing the list! I'm trying to decide what I'll make for my first Thanksgiving!

  2. i'm bringing a brussels sprout gratin to a potluck this weekend (roasted and shredded brussels in a cashew creme topped with cornbread stuffing and cheeze.

on thursday, i haven't decided, but i am going to see friends. i am thinking caramelized shallots and cornbread sausage dressing, but i'm only set on the shallots, because they are glorious.

  4. Mandee & Alessandra: You're welcome! I've been compiling the links for myself since I haven't decided what to make yet either. I just know there will be mashed potatoes but I'm always on the look out for the perfect gravy. :-)

Kittee: That brussels sprout gratin sounds delish! I've only eaten brussel sprouts roasted and not cooked in any other way. Time to change that, methinks!

  5. Hey, VW! Great post and great list! There are some new discoveries on there for me - I can't get over all the fantastic vegan recipes and Thanksgiving dinner menus there are out there these days, it's a delicious abundance of compassionate dining! :-)

We get to have two vegan Thanksgiving feasts this year as we're joining some fellow vegans for dinner at our neighbors' on Thursday (we're bringing a pumpkin pie made with Oatmeal Cookie Crust, maple cranberry sauce (a friend's recipe I hope to post this weekend), and a bottle of vegan Cabernet Sauvignon. Our neighbors' annual Thanksgiving entree was their own creation, made with lentils, nuts, toasted oats and spices, that they call "Dave's Turkey Liberation Loaf." :-)

We'll have our own feast on Friday, and plan to make (among other things like my mom's dressing, butternut squash - hey, you tried yours yet? - and mashed taters) FatFree Vegan's delicious Quinoa and Red Lentil Cutlets. And no doubt another pumpkin pie and batch of maple cranberry sauce if they're completely snarfed at the party Thursday. :-)

Have fun putting your menu together! There's so much to choose from, it's a hard (but wonderful) decision to have to make. Can't wait to hear what you decide on!
